Valentines Day @ Pinto Art Museum

“Art is the lie that enables us to realize the truth.”

2016 Valentines Day Challenge: Unveiling the truth behind the masterpieces hiding at the top of Antipolo, Rizal. Thanks to Jelly, Winnpy and Jom for sharing this trip with me.

Pinto Art Museum is home of  contemporary and modern masterpieces of different mediums such as wood & metal sculpture, painting, drawing, mixed media and photography from our very own Filipino Artists .

Aside from the collection of artworks, Pinto Art Museum also offers a serene landscape with an all white walls, fresh air and lush greenery.

This art space is divided to several galleries where they exhibit artworks categorized based on medium used. Upon entering the vicinity, you need to pay the entrance fee  (PHP180 for regular ticket, PHP150 for senior citizens and PWD with valid IDs, PHP 100 for children and students with proper school IDs ) and you’ll also be given a map as a guide for your day tour.

Is it totally worth it to visit all the galleries but make sure to ask the caretakers when you’re feeling lost so you won’t miss anything.

Pinto Art Museum is open from Tuesdays to Sundays, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Some blogs highly recommend to visit the place in the afternoon so you’ll taste the fresh air paired with the beautiful sunset.

Your eyes and creative mind are  2 important factors when appreciating art. Someone looking and someone seeing into the context of art are different. The former is about literally specifying the color or medium used while the latter is applying meaning to it.

Art appreciation is more than what your eyes can see, your hands can touch and feel. Each holds meaning, asks questions, tell stories, unmasks truth and exhibits beauty. Understanding art requires building a connection with the artwork so you’ll be able to compose your thoughts and decode the message behind it.

Glad we’ve accomplished the task with so much fun despite the hot weather. For the summary of our day tour checkout our compiled videos below :
